Bio
Assistant Director of Human Biology and Pre-Health Advising I grew up in Milford, Michigan, but lived in Grand Rapids for 15 years before moving to East Lansing. Now that I’ve settled in mid-Michigan, I enjoy traveling to visit family and friends on both sides of the state. I love going to the beach in west Michigan and shopping in Metro Detroit. I also like to try new restaurants, spend time outdoors, and make home décor projects. For both my undergraduate and graduate studies, I attended Grand Valley State University. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English for elementary education and worked as a teacher and after-school program coordinator before returning to school for my Master’s in College Student Affairs Leadership. I have worked with Human Biology and Pre-Health students at MSU since May 2016. I’m always inspired by my students’ passion to make a difference and I love watching them move forward and achieve their goals. In addition to meeting with students individually, I advise the Pre-Medical Association, and love that I still get to teach through leading workshops and events.
