Bio

Our laboratory focuses on revealing the structure, conformational dynamics, and function of membrane proteins. We primarily focus on membrane enzymes, transporters, and receptors involved in lipid signaling and cellular detoxification. Our laboratory relies heavily on cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to obtain insights into the structure and dynamics of these targets. By combining cryo-EM with biochemical, biophysical, and enzymatic approaches we seek to visualize and understand how membrane proteins sense and transport an array of lipids and small molecules.
