Raychel Meyer-Payne

I have been a Human Biology & Pre-Health advisor since October 2022. Prior to starting at MSU, I served as a Pre-Health Advisor at Central Michigan University. Before transitioning to academic advising, I primarily held positions in Housing and Residence Life in Mississippi, California, and Michigan. What I enjoy most about advising is getting to know the motivations behind my students academic and professional goals and helping them connect their passions to their future career. 

I am originally from Holly, Michigan and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services from Central Michigan University. I then went on to earn my Master’s in Counselor Education and Gender Studies from Mississippi State University. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, Zumba, and exploring East Lansing!
