Bio
2007-2011, B.S. Wuhan, China 2011-2016, PhD. University of Wisconsin-Madison 2018-2024, Postdoctoral Associate, University of Wisconsin-Madison My lab focuses on understand mechanisms of immunosuppression in papillomavirus-induced cancers and other cancer types. Using mouse papillomavirus as a model, we can study how papillomavirus evades immune clearance to establish persistent infection by modulating host factors and tumor microenvironment. My current project focuses on tumor cell and macrophage interactions and how the modulation of macrophages by tumor cells affect T cell infiltration and efficacy of immune check point blockade treatment in mouse papillomavirus infected tissues and head and neck cancer models. My research will shed light in discovering new targets to improve efficacy of immunotherapy for cancers.
