Yuan Wang

(Department of Animal Science), My main research focus is to dissect mammalian genetic programs that govern germ cell development. Empowered with the differentiation platform of pluripotent stem cells, mouse knockout models, and long-term in vitro culture of spermatogonial stem cells, my laboratory aims to understand how germ cell lineages is specified from pluripotent state, and how spermatogonial self-renewal and differentiation are properly balanced to sustain mammalian male fertility.
