**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
I became interested in plant science by reading about genomics and agricultural sustainability. As an undergraduate, I studied mathematics, so researching plant genomics seemed like a great opportunity to apply my quantitative and computational skills towards an issue I cared about.

**Where do you see yourself in 10 years?**
In 10 years, I hope to be running a research laboratory that focuses on improving plant resilience.
