**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
I became interested in plant science as I began to learn more about the ongoing issues facing sustainability and renewability in our developing world. Through my research in synthetic biology, I hope to provide plant-based solutions to such issues in order to contribute to a cleaner future.

**Where do you see yourself in 10 years?**
In ten years' time, I see myself working in an industrial research laboratory dedicated to ‘growing’ new ways to support a greener planet while also cultivating my own garden at home with my family.
