###Lab
[Vermaas lab](https://directory.natsci.msu.edu/Directory/Profiles/Person/100419)

###Research Interests
As a computational biologist, I’m interested in using cutting edge computational techniques like molecular dynamics and quantum mechanical simulations to discover how plants behave on the nanoscale. I’m particularly interested in modeling protein-lipid interactions responsible for abiotic stress tolerance in plants.

### Quick Profile
**I really wish my command line gave whimsical or enlightening messages to me every time I initiated a window. Do you know how I could make this a reality?**
What an excellent question! If you go to my gitlab, you can access a [fortune cookie script](https://gitlab.msu.edu/borendun/duncan-tools/-/blob/main/Answer.sh) that may bring variety, wisdom, and joy into your life! Just download Answer.sh, open ~/.bashrc (or ~/.zshrc if you're on mac), and add the line
bash [filepath]/Answer.sh
to the end. Currently, the fortune cookie program has 4 main modes, most with thousands of possible outputs, and it's always improving!

**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:**
Riding a bike, reading a book, or drinking coffee! I'm a fan of steel tubing, European modernists, and Kenyan light roasts.
