Bio

I am a postdoctoral researcher, I have been actively involved in multiple projects, one of which is supported by the World Bank through FAO. Our current endeavor focuses on forecasting crop yield in real-time for developing countries. This challenging task entails making accurate predictions despite the scarcity of data, utilizing both visible and SAR satellite images within a machine learning model to attain accurate crop classification. Additionally, we employ a Crop Simulation Model to further enhance our understanding and create the crop yield prediction. To actualize this vision, we have successfully developed an application utilizing the architecture of the Google Cloud Platform. Leading a dedicated team, we are currently working on developing platforms specifically for Ecuador, Cameroon, Peru, and Colombia.
