###Quick Profile

**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
Photosynthesis is the foundation of practically all known organisms. I am interested in studying plant science because it addresses issues of health and sustainability that will help us maintain life on Earth. In addition, plants and greenery are great for my mental health, so working with plants makes working more calming and joyful.

**Where do you see yourself in 10 years?**
It is hard to predict what I will be doing in 10 years, but I would like to be involved in plant research, either in industry or academia. I am not too picky; I just want to be working with plants and for the work to have some exploratory/investigative aspect that keeps it interesting.

**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:**
relaxing at home playing fetch with my dogs, playing video games or out spending time with my girlfriend and/or family. In summer, I may be slip ‘n’ sliding. In winter, I may be out skiing, sledding or ice skating.
