###Quick Profile

**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
I’ve always been fascinated by the effects plants can have on people, such as the calming effects of lavender and chamomile, how chewing on willow can alleviate pain and how different foods have different nutritional value. As a master’s student in Cell and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University I developed a more specific interest in the metabolites responsible for these effects.

**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:**
Taking care of my many house plants, gardening, working on my home/cleaning or relaxing on the couch.
