###Research Interests My research examines neural responses to dynamic real-world messages. In particular, I focus on how different recipients respond to the same messages, comparing the similarity of their brain activity over time. Messages are central to communication and cover multiple topic areas, including pro-health messages, entertainment and social media, and various other spoken, written, or mediated content. To answer my research questions, I employ functional neuroimaging methods in combination with natural language processing and self-report and behavioral measures. The approach I take strives to integrate communication science with neuroscience in order to understand how messages are processed by the brain, the biological organ of communication.
