**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
I first became interested in plants and plant science during my introduction to cell and molecular biology in undergrad. I was certain I wanted to do research but unsure what to research. I talked with the professor of the course and ended up fascinated with his research (space plants!) and worked on that project until I graduated with my bachelors. 

**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:**
hanging out on my porch with my animals and my partner.
