Hao Zhang

Hao Zhang is the Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Statistics and Probability at Michigan State University. Before joining MSU, he served as Professor of Statistics and Professor of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University. His research specializes in spatial statistics, with applications spanning agricultural and environmental sciences, climate studies, engineering, and health sciences. His work encompasses both fundamental research and interdisciplinary applications, driven by the goal of developing statistically and computationally efficient solutions for data-driven challenges. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute.
