Bio

Currently I am a lecturer for the MGI department.

My researcher prior to this role includes understanding Melissococcus plutonius virulence in Honey Bees under the guidance of Meghan Milbrath at MSU. At University of Michigan in Mike Bachman's lab, I investigated fitness factors of Klebsiella pneumoniae that contribute to bacteremia. My grad school research at UIowa under the guidance of Brad Jones, included studying the role of PbrA and type 4 pili interactions with platelets that contributed to Streptococcus sanguinis pathogenesis and genetically engineering E. coli as a probiotic.
