Bio

##Education
PhD Plant Pathology / Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Behaviour, 2016 Michigan State University
MS Plant Pathology, 2011 Michigan State University
MS in Biological Sciences (Microbiology), 2007 Los Andes University
BS Microbiology, 2005 Los Andes University

##Research
My research centers on the biology and genetics of fungi and oomycetes and their interactions with plants. I am especially interested in endophytic and root-associated fungi, exploring their ecological roles and relationships with plants through various 'omics approaches. My work bridges basic and applied science, aiming to characterize the population and community ecology of fungi and oomycetes in the rhizosphere and broader plant environment.
