Raquel Virginia Rocha Vilela

Dr. Vilela works side-by-side co-teaching the Workshop de Micologia Molecular with Dr. Leonel Mendoza, which is taught each year during the summer for two weeks to latin speaking medical professionals. Dr. Vilela has been associated with Michigan State University for over 10 years and we are proud to join forces with the students at ISMD to further the common goal of superior medical/science education. She lives in Belo Horizonte, BRAZIL. She conducts research on Pythium isidiosum Lacazia loboi, and Legenenidium. She is the Director of Instituto Superior de Medicina (ISMD) an Institute afiliated with Michigan State University Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program, Professor at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).
