Bio
Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF-β) signaling pathways direct a wide range of cellular processes in all animals with implications for embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and disease. Our research seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms governing these pathways and to leverage this knowledge for the development of targeted therapeutic interventions. ### Titles * Associate Professor * Director, Proteomics Core * Director, Graduate Program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology ### Education * Ph.D. 1997, Rutgers University, New Jersey * Vordiplom 1990, Universität zu Köln, Germany ### Previous Appointments * Postdoctoral Fellow, 1998-2001, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America ### Links * [Current Research](https://bmb.natsci.msu.edu/labs/martinez_hackert-lab/current-research.aspx) * [Google Scholar Citations](https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=2C-QD5EAAAAJ&hl=en)
