Bio
Jake Stid is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Michigan State University. His research focuses on understanding our evolving energy landscape, particularly the environmental and land-use dimensions of solar PV and wind energy development. His work combines geospatial analysis, large-scale datasets, and field-based research to study where and how renewable energy infrastructure is developed, how it interacts with surrounding landscapes, and how those landscapes change over time. His research interests include agrisolar, land management, environmental outcomes, and the full life cycle of solar infrastructure, with the broader goal of informing more sustainable approaches to renewable energy development.
