Janet Burke

I am a faculty member in the Center for Integrative Studies in General Science, where I teach physical and biological science classes to future secondary science teachers and students outside of the STEM majors. I first came to Michigan State as a postdoctoral researcher after completing my PhD at Yale University. My training is in the fundamentally interdisciplinary fields of micropaleontology and paleoceanography, where techniques and perspectives from biology, geology, and chemistry combine to reconstruct the conditions ancient oceans.
