Carl Bromberg has been a member of the Department of Physics since 1979. His Research has focused on construction, data taking, and analysis of a number of High Energy Physics (HEP) experiments at Fermilab.
Currently, Carl is participating in the design and construction of the NOvA neutrino oscillation experiment that will measure the mixing angle theta-13, the neutrino mass hierarchy will search for CP violation in leptons, perhaps the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe. In addition, he is developing electronics for a liquid-argon time projection chamber, a technology that promises to be more efficient and less costly per unit mass than traditional detectors for neutrino oscillation, proton decay, and other rare reactions.
