Bio

Dr. Bi is the manager of the Keck Microfabrication Facility. Besides managing the operation of the facility and the equipment therein, he also trains students and postdocs to master the skills of using state of art scientific instrumentation to carry out their research work, and to help them out with their research projects. He also collaborates with other faculty members.

# Keck Microfabrication Facility
The Keck Microfabrication Facility (KMF) is a shared user facility in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Michigan State University. The primary focus of the facility is micro- and nano-fabrication using photolithography and electron beam lithography. The facility is also equipped with several analytical instruments for material analysis such as field emission scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer, Raman spectrometry, high resolution x-ray diffractometer, scanning probe microscope, optical microscopes, etc. For more detailed information, please visit KMF web site at [kmf.pa.msu.edu](http://kmf.pa.msu.edu/).

Since its inception in 1996, KMF has played key roles for many research groups on MSU campus. It has supported researches for over 270 students, postdocs, and visitors from several departments including physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, material science, etc, and many people off MSU campus.
