### Research Interests
My research focuses on synthetic neuroscience. My lab is implementing the principles of synthetic biology to develop cutting-edge technologies for better understanding the central nervous system. We bioengineer genetically encoded gene circuits and novel fusion protein based on unique properties and principles adopted from a variety of organisms. My lab develops novel tools – made from biological materials – that can replace electronic devices or establish communication between electronics and biological tissues.
