### Research Interests Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) can identify functional abnormality inside brains whose structural integrity remains normal. However, due to the limited spatial resolution of conventional fMRI and the confounding effect of neuro-glial-vascular (NGV) interaction, fMRI signals have large variability. To overcome this challenge, Dr. Qian is developing wirelessly powered multi-modal detectors that can correlate fMRI signals with EEG and fiber photometry, providing unique insights into NGV interaction, paving way to bridge neuronal activity and behavior in normal and pathological brains.
