Interdisciplinary biomedical educator with teaching experience in the Colleges of Human Medicine, Natural Science, Education, Communication Arts & Sciences, and Engineering since 1999. Sustained record of teaching and curriculum development with an educational philosophy of cognitive empathy and practical knowledge of diverse student learning methods such as Problem-Based Learning, Case-Based Learning, Team-Based Learning, Directed Independent Study, Histology-Pathology Lab, Human Cadaver Lab, and Lecture-Online hybrid. Leader and team member of numerous content development and curriculum development groups at the department, college, and university levels.
Experience teaching across the entire post-secondary learner development continuum, including non-major undergraduates, biology and engineering major undergraduates, graduate-professional students, biomedical graduate students, medical residents, and medical fellows. Ongoing commitment and experience in educating, mentoring, and advancing students from underrepresented populations into health professions.
