**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
I did my undergraduate research in how abiotic stress impacts the amount of selective protein degradation in A. thaliana through cullin3 ligases, during this time I became fascinated by the molecular mechanisms of plants.  This fascination was strengthened by my summer spent at the Plant Genomics REU here at MSU.

In the forest, foraging for edible plants and mushrooms.
