###Quick Profile
**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
My undergraduate lab was a biochemistry lab focused on non-model algae and I got the chance to explore photosynthesis and it quickly became my world.
**What is your research about?**
I have a diverse research background, with undergraduate research mainly focusing on biophysics of the light reaction, an REU in computational chemistry, and a summer internship working on the genetic level with Chlamy. I am very open and excited to explore possible research topics for my Ph.D.
**What is the potential societal impact of your research?**
Ideally, down the line, I will be able to apply my findings to non-model and agricultural systems. I hope to produce research that applies to the wide breadth of plant science as a whole. Working with model organisms to determine highly conserved features that can be applied in a variety of fields.
**Where do you see yourself in 10 years?**
I see myself as a PI on the tenure track, teaching and producing my own research in a lab of my own creation.
**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:**
