Connor Reed Yeck

- Identifies and develops news items with the help of Chemistry faculty, staff, and students.
- Creates stories, articles, and news releases to accompany developments such as publications, awards, grants, and department events.
- Conducts interviews with Chemistry community members. 
- Aids in graphic design (flyers, promotional materials).
- Take photographs (lab groups, social events, etc.)
- Coordinates with NatSci and University Communications to amplify and share Chemistry news beyond the department.
- Monitors and expands Chemistry's social media presence.
- Maintains Chemistry building screens.
- Works with IT on Chemistry website.


Bio: Connor Yeck is the Communications Manager for the Department of Chemistry and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his PhD in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Cincinnati (2023), an MFA in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University (2019), and a BA in English from Michigan State University (2012). He is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship (2023).
