Bio
Hi! My name is Emma Stolinas, and I am a second-year master's student in the MSU Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. In my final year at MSU, I am writing my thesis, advised by Dr. Julie Libarkin. Using drawings made by first-year undergraduate students, I aim to learn more about the ideas college students have about careers, compare those ideas to real job data, and explore how this information can be used to better support college student career development. For the 2025-2026 school year, I am also working as the career advisor for master's students in the MSU Graduate School's Office of Graduate Career Development. In this role, I provide one-on-one career guidance to other graduate students from across the university, design and deliver career preparation workshops and presentations, and manage online communications for the office. If you are a current MSU graduate student seeking career guidance, feel free to schedule an appointment with me through Handshake! After I graduate in May 2026, I plan to pursue a full-time position as a career advisor at a college or university.
