**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
I became interested in plant science through a program in my senior year of high school that let me spend three days a week in a lab studying plant-fungal symbiosis.

**What is your research about?**
Our lab studies epigenetic regulation in maize (corn) and how it impacts plant development and resilience.

**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:** playing board or video games with friends.
