**What got you interested in plants and plant science?**
During undergrad, I grew potatoes in my dorm room. Learning about germination for that led me into plant science and everything snowballed from there. 

**What is your research about?**
I am interested in plant signaling and metabolic regulation.

**What is the potential societal impact of your research?**
This research will aim to improve crop efficiency. Improving agricultural production is a critical way to help meet the rising demand for food. 

**On a Saturday afternoon, you'll likely find me:**
Playing soccer, reading a book, or just doing anything outside.
